Roles and responsibilitiesPortal Content Management:
• Manage content/knowledge on a portal for a leading development firm. This would include sourcing,processing and uploading of information on the portal;
• Correspond regularly with portal users and client;
• Contribute to process improvements;
• Engage in portal maintenance activities;
• Conduct desk research;
• Assist in developing new ideas within the knowledge management arena.


• Assist in the research projects that the team undertakes. This assistance would include:
• Primary and secondary research to include literature survey, email survey, focus group discussions, interviews etc.
• Writing content to include research reports, articles, blog posts and web content.
Skill setSkill Set: Education/Experience

• 2-3 years work experience in microfinance and knowledge management;
• Post graduate degree from a premier institute in development studies, business management or rural development;
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English, and the ability to write excellent reports;
• Knowledge of working on computers (esp. MS Office and internet) and the ability to work for long hours on computers;
• Knowledge of basic HTML is desirable;
• Experience of working on websites and content management would be a definite plus.
The candidate should show:
• The ability to multitask;
• The ability to be innovative, articulate and systematic;
• Openness to feedback;
• The willingness to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines;
• Ability to deal with national/international clients responsibly.
