Our TeamThe Enterprise Data Integration (EDI) is the largest business unit in R&D and builds products that help customers access, integrate, and trust all their information assets -- improving operational efficiency, reducing costs, minimizing risk, and enhancing your competitive advantage. EDI Business Unit is responsible for the development and delivery of some of the key Informatica products such as Informatica Power Center, Metadata Manager, Data Validation Option (DVO) and Informatica Data Services.
Your Opportunity
You will have a ‘hands on’ approach to the entire quality assurance lifecycle; develop project and resource plans/schedules, perform day-to-day project management to ensure successful, on-time releases; assist the team in accomplishing all tasks; demonstrate ownership and accountability for the entire product delivery process. Ensure product delivery milestones are met, all QA testing completed, all launch and implementation processes are followed to ensure effective product releases.
Our Ideal Candidate
Should be a seasoned leader for the QA organization of a software product company. Should have lead the quality assurance function for its Metadata Management and Data Validation products. As a manager you must have the ability to shape the direction of Informatica’ s core Metadata management and Data Validation products, and play a key role in defining the bar for quality, performance, and scalability for these products
Your Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the ‘quality ethic’ across Informatica’ s development groups with a continual focus on ‘raising the bar’.
-Quickly become the uncompromising advocate for quality that is willing to up level the view/reputation of the QA organization and be the champion of product quality.
-Champion the cause of the Customer during design and build phases so as to ensure Performance and Supportability are always top focus areas during Enterprise DI product releases.
-Manage a QA team comprising of junior and senior engineers through structured discipline and implementation of best practices with an aim towards continuous improvement, growth and scale;establish quality process and tools standards where they make sense.
-Recruit,realign,mentor and develop the team as necessary to support aggressive business and growth objectives.
-Work effectively with key constituents to allocate testing/QA/change control resources appropriately across various projects,juggling needs the longer term product roadmap needs (weighing,balancing,communicating and escalating as necessary).
-Ensure that the QA organization provides a high level of QA service; establish,collect,enable and monitor reporting of key quality metrics to senior management.
-Communicate and work effectively in a matrix environment involving virtual teams and cross company initiatives.
-Continually evaluate and ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction

Desired Skills & Experience
B.Tech/M.Tech degree on computers.-Should have 10 or more years of relevant professional experience with a significant portion within a global enterprise software company
-Record of technical leadership in enterprise software product development & quality assurance
-A minimum of 5 years of direct management experience with experience both building a team from the ‘ground up’ and inheriting a team that needed professional development or maturity
-Willingness and demonstrated ability to be ‘hands on’ and close to the technology
-Extensive industry/product experience in ETL, Data Replication, EAI and/or Databases preferred
-Current knowledge of data, data management, data integration, and data quality
-Excellent understanding of quality risks with both Java and C/C++ technologies. Multi-threaded server and web-based services development experience
-Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies and release management techniques
-Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skill with a proven ability to quickly learn new technologies in a dynamic environment.
-Track record of developing and testing very complex products and tools for building software and frameworks in a dynamic environment; deep experience in functional and API level test
-Prior experience with API testing using Junit/Testing. Strong knowledge in RDBMS and experience writing SQL scripts. Exposure to build and test tools like Maven, JUnit, TestNG and STAF.
-Deep knowledge of QA processes – functional, performance, and longevity testing; change control, project planning and monitoring.
-Experience successfully managing multiple projects from concept to delivery while meeting schedules and never compromising quality
-Skilled at managing dynamic priorities, dealing with change, making long term plans while not sacrificing quality for short term deliverables
-Demonstrated ability to work across time zones (i.e., US, India, Europe); effectively working with diverse teams that collaborate on completing tasks
-Proven leader, team builder and mentor who leads by example with a record of building high performing teams and implementing best practices
-Clear ability to influence change,manage conflict,bring together disparate points of view,make decisions,and ‘move the needle’
-Outstanding interpersonal,presentation, organizational and planning skills; strong time management and project management skills.
-Intellectual curiosity,innovation,creativity, persistence,commitment,passion, and optimism.
